What We Do

Speed Rack is an all-female high-speed bartending competition designed to highlight up-and-coming women and femme identifying folk in the cocktail industry and give back to those impacted by breast cancer. The competition in is fierce and so is the fundraising. To date, Speed Rack has raised nearly $2,000,000 to date for charities supporting breast cancer research.

how it works

The Competition

Speed Rack taps top female and femme bartenders and puts them head to head in times challenges. Regional competitions whittle down the applicant pool, with 20 mixologists in each market vying for one of sixteen slots that will make it to the nationals.

The crowd? 750 enthusiastic cocktail lovers. Competitors? Determined, hands raised and concentrating on the task at hand—mixed up a New York sour, a Rob Roy, a mezcal drink and a low-proof St. Germain cocktail. It would only take a minute, maybe two, but it still required absolute precision and a whole lotta grace.

Where We’re Going

Speed Rack continues to expand its global reach to create the largest network in the industry for female and femme bartenders. In an effort to maintain global synergy, we encourage brands who are interested in being involved with the other countries to reach out to Speed Rack and connect us with your global counterparts.

The whole thing was a blast, with good music pumping, lots of cheering and energetic and light-hearted trash talk, and a convival, friendly atmosphere. It was definitely an industry event, but lots of people who weren’t in the industry were there and felt welcome.
